“I have noticed that when all the lights are on, people tend to talk about what they are doing – their outer lives. Sitting round in candlelight or firelight, people start to talk about how they are feeling – their inner lives. They speak subjectively, they argue less, there are longer pauses." - Jeanette Winterson

Now in it's third season, Whidbey Unplugged began as an invitation to musical artists to present their music in a more vulnerable way through acoustic and solo performances accompanied by storytelling. This winter series has expanded to include writers, stand-up comics and other creators as well as an "in conversation with" segment with each performer to learn more about their life path and inner world. We invite you to unplug and join us for this unique presentation of talent and exploration of what drives the artist to create and share their work.
